Refresher Course

 

Who can take the Refresher Course?

The Refresher Course is for individuals:

• whose Child Care Services (CCS) Certification has expired (lapsed), and
• who hold Level One or higher (including Entry Level), and
• who have not taken the course before

 

Who Cannot Take the Course

The Refresher Course is not available to people with Trainee Level certification.

Important Information

• You can use the Refresher Course only once.
• The course does not count as professional learning (PL) hours.

 

Renewal of Child Care Services Certification:

 

When you complete the Refresher Course, you may renew your certification without having all the required PL hours.

To renew using the Refresher Course, you must submit:

• Renewal Application Form
• Refresher Course completion certificate, and
• any additional PL documents (if you have them),

Your new certification may be for a shorter time, depending on the total number of PL hours you submit with the course.

Important:
For your next renewal, you must complete the full PL hours requirements.
