The following are qualifying workshops presented through AECENL’s Live Workshop Series between July 1st, 2023-July 1st, 2024:

October 25th, 2023: Introduction to the Inclusion Series Facilitated by Tony Morgan of Eastern Health’s Intervention Services. 

November 14th, 2023: Autism and Neurodiversity; Resources and Supports from the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador. 

June 4th and 21st, 2024: Colouring Outside the Gender Lines Part 1: The Gender Question. 

June 5th, 2024: Respect in the Workplace, by Workplace NL. 

June 19th, 2024: Autism and Neurodiversity; Resources and Supports from the Autism Society of Newfoundland and Labrador  

 

AECENL will be offering the following qualifying workshops from July 1, 2024-July 1, 2025*: 

Saturday, October 5th, 2024: Colouring Outside the Gender Lines Part 2: Gender Responsive Educators. Facilitated by Adam Braye. 

DATE TBA: Colouring Outside the Gender Lines Part 3: Creating Safe Spaces. Facilitated by Adam Braye. 

Date TBA: Roots of Knowledge Workshop for Early Childhood Educators, facilitated by First Light St. John’s Friendship Centre. 

*Other PL opportunities may be booked throughout the year.  

 

AECENL’s PL Lending Library 

Workshops in AECENL’s PL Lending Library would not be considered community-based anti-bias training, though there is a short list of approved pre-recorded web-based PL that will be accepted for those who are not able to access a community-based PL opportunity in time for the July 1st, 2024, deadline. For the PL to be verified, participants should follow the policies of the PL Lending Library and pair the archived/pre-recorded workshop with AECENL’s Reflective Form for Online PL Events. This can be accessed by contacting plcoordinator@aecenl.ca.
